The Christmas story is not, in fact, a story at all. The birth of Jesus Christ is not myth, legend, or fiction, it is historical fact. And the Christmas story is a Jewish story. And this Jewish story is a Genesis story. And the Genesis story is THE human story. It is the story where we learn how a Holy God will respond to the sins of men. God planned for the failure of men becuase he planned for their redemption before the world was ever created. He planned to come to them in their sin, confront their sin, condemn their sin...but then cover their sin.
