At Restoration Road we believe the Bible teaches that God values men and women equally. We also believe that the Bible celebrates the fact that God made men and women to learn, think, and even feel differently. Everyday living proves this is true as both men and women face different, but equally difficult life challenges. The roles in our homes and in our church are designed to complement one another, not compete, in meeting these life issues. In many ways, these roles teach us a lot about the very nature and character of God Himself, as men and women are made in His image. Our understanding of what a man or women is, and what they must do, is rooted in unchanging Scripture, not in an ever-changing culture (evangelical or secular). Our ministry to women, therefore, is based on what the Bible says God prefers us to pursue, not our own personal preferences or traditions.
WHAT ARE THE GOALS FOR A MINISTRY TO WOMEN AT RESTORATION ROAD?
We believe in seeing our women grow into all that God has designed them to be. The goals of our ministry will not change regardless of the season. That is because our goals are not formed by felt needs but by biblical truth. We want to help women mature in Christ (See Colossians 1.28-29; 3.6-8). That means we want to take the gospel deeper into the hearts of women, so that they might know Jesus and make Him known in their roles:
First, as Daughters of Christ
Second, as Women of God,
Third, as Brides to their husbands,
Fourth, as Mothers to their children,
Fifth, as Servants in the church and Missionaries in the Community
